Snowboarding - parallel slalom

Snowboarding - parallel slalom

Parallel slalom – is a snowboarding competition where competitors race each other head-to-head down a slope on parallel courses. Slalom flags here are set 20-25 meters apart. The length of the ride is established in such a way to set a vertical drop of around 150m. Each duel consists of two races. The overall time (or the opponent’s crash in the second run) decides who becomes the winner. The rider who wins a duel goes to the next stage of the tournament.
Parallel (giant) slalom is an Olympic sport.
