Long-distance ruuning
Long-distance athletic events - it is a pretty vast sports category which includes running competitions (including the 3000m athletic steeplechase!) held at distances exceeding 3000m. Some of the competitions from this category (e.g. marathon, 5 and 10km running) are included in the Summer Olympic Games programme.
