Snowboarding is a winter sport discipline born between the sixtiesand seventies in the U.S. It involves riding down mountain slopes on special plank called snowboard. First snowboard emerged from connection of two ski and it was called Snurfer, it was stered with a string.
Later on the string was abandoned and the binding holding special shoes was added. And this is how the continuously modernized equipment serves for today as one of the most popular winter entertainment.
Snowboarding has been the plimpic discipline since 1998 and its main variations are Freestyle, Freeride, Slalom and Snow-cross.
